Dude logged 21minutes last night, due to 7 power play to kill but damn he was rewarded with a goal, 3 hits, 3 blocks and a takeaway. Benning really knows his gems eh? I think the majority wanted a 5th rd pick for Vanek over this dude.
When roussel is back, looks like green will have his favorite shutdown line with roussel-Sutter-motte. Trying to find his new granlund-sutter-dorsett line from last year,that successfully shut down mcdavid and other top lines in the league til dorsett got injured =(

yeaaah I love how Motte played, very determined, smart and a hustler at heart. reminds me of burrows. with that said, the team hung onto dear life in the 3rd; the people you'd expect (Pouliot, Virtanen) took bad penalties, MDZ fell off hard as the game went (as he usually does) on and Guds is frankly useless outside of being physical - he just can't process the game at an NHL speed. not very promising in the grand scheme but it could be fun to watch the youngsters light it up as best as they can.

also shoutout to Sutter for being a rock defensively, but again can't be too optimistic because he's not the guy who gets you out of a ditch.

Pettersson is fucking god as usual. It's insane how quick he learns... He improved his faceoffs in such short amount of time, and the backcheck shit he does, just wow. You cant teach that shit... Only flaw i see atm in his game is keeping his balance. He falls as often as Raymond did, except the difference is that he's still able to stick handle and make plays while on his stomach... basically not being completely useless as raymond was when he fell.
Boeser finally blasted a laser through, that split second silence and confusion from everybody was hilarious. Even he was shocked it went in so fast, and the reaction he had after the goal, you can tell he had huge weight off his shoulders. Hopefully he continues to score again, and find his form from last year. He still seems sluggish.
