Legal makes sense to me, to an extent. It forces version control so if you're signing contracts or whatever you don't have to worry (as much) about someone tampering with a legally binding document.
But if you're gonna have someone mail you a check (on the government's dime) then just turn around and walk it right to the bank, as far as I'm concerned people like that are a major reason why we have such a huge deficit.
We're not allowed to put a line item in our budget that's "just in case we have to deal with a fucktard," because then that fucktard will rally his other fucktard friends and say we're budgeting money towards useless things. It's a terrible cycle.
for actauly legal documents it 100% makes sense.
I think they were also just behind though, even interacting with companies where it could be done online it wasnt they were paid in all cheques and payed for everything with cheques.

It depends on who you're interacting with. It takes two to be able to do everything online.
true enough, i am in sales, everything is online for me quotes orders po's etc but im sure AR is dealing with my accounts paying cheque. tbh they are net 30 so i dont even think about how they pay just if they pay. the rest is ar's problem lol
