No they won't. It was a decisive vote last time and they can't have another one so soon. Besides, Scotland doesn't have support for real independence anyway, most of the support is for "independence lite", where Scotland remains under the monarchy, with a customs union; which just amounts to a sovereignty association not independence.

Even if they voted in majority against, the game have changed. They, for the most, have voted to stay in the UE. They will, surely, put some pressure to have another referendum about this question. I'm sure some will change their mind with that happened with the UE.

The strong majority in Scotland just voted to stay. Scotland is already preparing for a referendum, it's gonna happen.

Scotland's first minister said they are, and she also said London should also separate from the UK. It took forever for Westminster to negotiate the last referendum and Scotland doesn't have the authority to hold one on their own. If this vote was Yes, stay and separate, No and stay in the UK, the results would have been much different.

E: the UK will never give Gibraltar up, and the people there aren't suddenly going to decide they want to be Spanish because of this. Neither will Sinn Fein get enough support to join Ireland.

"Will I need a new passport?
You will have noticed that the top line on the front of the UK passport says "European Union".
Because the UK will remain a member of the EU for as long as it takes to negotiate the exit deal, such passports will be valid over that period - so there is no need to worry if you are travelling this summer, for example.
After the UK leaves, there will presumably be new British passports that will no longer say "European Union" on them.
While we can't say this for sure, it seems likely that the new design would just be phased in as existing passports expire."
