This is clearly not a blanket statement for all cancer and diseases.

But I am very passionate about food being the cure for many diseases. How do the majority of things get inside your system? Food. How can you put side affect free materials in to your body to heal and produce and repair things like DNA?i say food. And avoiding certain foods.

Eliminating things like poptarts and coke and replacing them entirely with fruits and vegetables (imo) will go a long way. While proteins are great and focus on building and cell growth etc, vegetables focus on repair from all of our F ups.

Look up "blue zones." They are communities round the world where the majority of people live in to their hundreds with fully capable bodies, all things considered. The biggest common denominator in all blue zones- their diet (often rich with sweet potato for instance). And many of these cultures smoke.

It's very interesting to me.

its just luck sometimes being healthy helps maybe its the weather or something or lack of stress or even smoking like u say but healthy people die n get sick too
maybe with weed supposedly becoming legal treatments with marijuana or thc products will become common practice or we actually find out if or why it helps

you hear stories amazing cancer cured by nature person yet you see stories like 10 year old boy dies from the flu becasue they took him to one of those instead of a doctor
i believe a healthy lifestyle helps but only to a point and its not the solution to life and your not guaranteed to live to 100+ and be illness free

personally i blame the canadian health system they said she would get prob another 5 years 6 months later she rediagnosed and its almost at the point it was the 1st time around
so you think get her in and treat it right... nope she had to wait 6 months while it spread before they could do chemo again becasue the government wont cover it unless its a year apart
its a crappy feeling thinking if you had the $$ you mighta been able to help her beat it one more time but instead had to wait until it was too late

On the cancer thing...it's such a horrible disease and its always tough when I see posts about it because of my personal experience. I tend to avoid them because it brings me back to my worst experiences. I think this might be my first comment on cancer in the past 4-5 years.

If there's anything positive about the treatments not working anymore it's that you don't have to do them anymore and they can focus on quality of life measures. Before you start isn't fun, the blackouts, the coughing up blood, the pain, everything, and then all the awful things that come out of chemo and radiation. After they stop working, it's just so much more peaceful. You can go out on your own terms.

I hope they find a cure, it steals so many lives but maybe it's natures way of keeping us in check. If it's not one disease it's another. So many awful diseases, and I hate to say I've seen a lot of them.

I gained a bit of appreciation for soccer because my ex played Canadian women's soccer at a high level but I still think it's boring. However, billions of people like it as their favourite sport so there has to be something to it. Hell, people beat the shit out of each other for it. To each their own I suppose.
