Yes we can.

It's the clips that are regulated. Only allowed to have 5 rounds per clip. And cannot be semi auto.

Yes. But some general fucking with the clips and you can make them fully auto.

But to say we can't own assault rifles in Canada is ridiculous and a false claim

But that would be illegal. You can have them, but they can hardly be considered assault rifles at that point
