I agree 100%. Dej and some Flyers fans can think that they are the most successful non o6 team all they like, but you're right in that there's no right answer here - only opinions. Mine is simply that the team with the most Stanley cups aka best team in the league when it counts has the more solid history. Teams can't make it to and win the final if they weren't successful in the regular and post season. You could also weigh in the number of years they've been around as a team or franchise and the strength and quantity of other teams they faced. I'm not saying regular and post season success is 100% negligible, but It's really marginable compared to winning the cup IN MY OPINION. Also adding defunct teams' stats to the more successful ones and comparing them to teams that haven't been relocated is just ridiculous. One of the main reasons a team is currently defunct is because they weren't successful which is directly linked to bringing in money for said team. Like I said earlier, I'm fine with agreeing to disagree here. Dej is known to be stubborn and stick by his opinions for a reason.
i dont understand. at these stats, no relocated team got the edge over another? the team relocated and kept the team from prior to moving, thats a BIG difference from an expansion team. whats so hard to understand about it? i understand that you're mad that devils won't shine here, but these are facts.
i showed you stats that backed up my argument, and all you did was saying 1 cup > everything else, which is just ridicilous. i showed you #s that are taken from 67 to 2012 or whenever these stats are from.
we all know that you're a VERY big devils homer and you're probably disagreeing with me and saying "BUT RELOCATED TEAMS ARE NEW TEAMS" because devils is a relocated team who turned it around but is still the same old franchise as the rockies or whatever it is. you should have pride in your history rather than thinking its non-existant
i showed you the avs of '96, it was almost the '95 nordiques team. if avs was an expansion team they would have been completely irrelevant
