If I knew I'd be alone I would have took my four year old to the zoo and just left her little brother at the babysitters but yeah...nothing's fun alone. I'd rather never see a movie again then go alone.

And what guy shops on their own if they aren't looking for a specific thing lol.

I can't think of any movie theatre open this early lol. I have to kill time till mid-afternoon. But I wouldn't go to a movie alone anyway lol.

I love watching movies alone, if I'm with people, they better keep the chatter to a minimum

Lol he reminds me of Rivals. "Bro I got something lined up making 90k in government right out of college."

..great university if they consider him to have the five years of specialized professional experience required to get GS13 step 2.

I don't know about the US but in Canada I've seen some government positions advertised for 0-2 years experience that where the range for starting salary is $70-100,000. They are asking for specialized Master's Degrees (MPPs, MPAs) or doctorates but there are some.

Yeah, Rivals was talking basic masters which qualifies you for GS-7, and that's $43.5k in a place with a high cost of living adjustment.

- Basic masters earns you a year to qualify for GS-9, $53.5k
- Specialized masters with a certification will earn another year, MAYBE two if they really need applications, $64.5k and $77.5k respectively
- PhD earns a bit more and depends entirely on the field and the job.

In the end to make $90k right away in government you probably need to have at least 8 years of schooling, specialized with a thesis.

I guess Canada isn't so standardized lol. Most government jobs that require a Master's will start in the $60s.

Also, if you have a PhD in a public service type degree (Political Science etc.) you'll have probably been in school for at least eight years anyway.
