Coin toss in OT is basically the whole game

my only problem is that the patriots chose both times

they went 1-1 and won the key toss

But our playoffs are sudden death in ot...

Like if Atlanta D held the pats to just a field goal. They would have had a chance to come back and tie it or win with a touchdown aswelll. Don't blame a win on the system. Brady fully deserved it.

apples and oranges buddy

hockey sudden death is completely fine, but for footed ballz its not a great decider

every other major sport's "over time" is better

this. why is there a visitor team if they play in a neutral field? patriot called the flip twice, 1-1. the second flip should be called by falcons to make it fair. i understand coin flip is 50/50 but as competitor i would allways want to try to pick my outcome.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the coin toss is a shitty way to decide it. I understand in the regular season you want the game to be over, but give the Falcons a chance on offense in the playoffs. Once they won the toss, the Patriots basically guaranteed themselves a chance to play offense and defense, while Atlanta HAD to either hold them to a FG (or a complete stop) in order to get a chance.

The other thing I'd say, is in the playoffs give them a break between the 2nd half and OT. It really gave the pats a huge advantage to get the ball, after basically having Atlanta's defense on the field the entire time.

Overall I think Atlanta lost themselves the game, specifically when they tried to throw on 2nd down when Ryan got sacked, the sack plus the penalty pushed them out of FG range and allowed it to stay a 1 score (I think) game at the time. Gotta have a better understanding of the situation there. A FG pretty much puts the game out of reach.

PS - been a while hi guys
