We are hiring actually But we're rated high risk as far as IT programs go so we only hire US citizens. Just kinda worked out that my regular day off (I work 9 hour days so it still evens out to 40 hours) is opposite Memorial Day.



Yeah my boss and I are pretty much the only ones on our floor working today, lots of people are already gone for the weekend.

Also DX, you work a 9/80 Schedule? how is that? i think id be down honestly a customer was talking to me about it and i was kinda jealous

It's wonderful and I will never go back. I telework every Monday too, used to have to or I'd miss my grad classes and now it's habit. If you do choose to do 9/80 I highly suggest getting there an hour earlier than usual - you don't really notice the extra hours if you still leave work at the same time. I get in at 7 and leave at 4:30.

The reality is that i am already working the extra hour just by staying late, so it might as well be part of my schedule.

We are an IT re-seller though so if our clients are open so are we. Never gonna happen (at this job at least)

That's unfortunate. My job definitely fits into more of a 9-5 type deal because it's more about management and planning.. everyone's already in DC so I just have to knock on doors and go to meetings.

I made the mistake of semi volunteering to do user acceptance testing by suggesting someone from our team run a handful of scripts to make sure our application passes the sniff test. Was thinking the intern that starts next week could handle it but since I came up with requirements for the majority of the functionality in the next release the boss wants me to do it oops.
