Blame Skype. Only reason the telecomm companies can pull shit like this and not get hit by antitrust is because VOIP like Skype and FaceTime are considered direct competitors.

Under that (BS) explanation, companies like AT&T and Rogers can claim they have a much smaller hold over the market share and absorb all the smaller companies.
