Hope bergevin doesn't give a bridge contract to chucky

If it's not bridge it's long term big money right away. You are willing to commit right now 8 years 7+ million? I would like a 2 year bridge then give him the big contract. No doubt in my mind he will be a star but letsnkeep him for 10 years guaranteed instead of 8.

Or try to save the most money possible to sign big name and try to win a cup in the 2-3 next year

That's why you want a bridge then. So we can have him under 5m for lets say 3 years. Because if you don't want a bridge you want 7++ mil long term and now we aren't saving money and will have him for less time until he is UFA

If he signs a long-term deal without a bridge it'll be closer to 5.5 or 6, similar to the Hall and Eberle deals.

If he signs a bridge it won't be over 5.

However, if you wait a few years until after his bridge, it might be 8 (depending on how much he explodes).

Interesting :D

He's currently exploding since he's centering the 1st line

Galchenyuk will not sign 5.5-6 long term. I would rather sign him 3 years @ 4.5m then 8 years @ 8m than 6 years @ 6m

He's on pace for 57-58 points.

Since playing 1st line center (3-4 games) he has something like 4g 2a.

If he is then he is taking a cap friendly contract to help the team win.
