once again, all this bull shit I hear people say about leaf fans I've never actually witnessed... you just watch too much media.

None of those points you quoted were factually incorrect, including the waffles

At 5-on-5, he has the second best goal share on the team, with the Leafs scoring 47 times and allowing just 27 goals. Some of that is PDO at work, but Gardiner also has been on the ice for one of the best scoring chance shares (53 percent) on the team, despite lugging around a partner in Nikita Zaitsev who struggles mightily to handle the puck at the NHL level.

Clearly the Leafs biggest problem

This.. Yall can say what you want, compare and analyze this and that stat. But simplicity is the ultimate sense of sophistication, when it matters most he is simply unreliable.

If you actually watch him play, you'll notice two stand out problems... He's unreliable with the puck in our zone AND he seems to not only let, but actually give the attackers the puck behind the net.

I get tired of watching other organizations play such simple / smooth transistion 60min games, but you never know what type of leafs will show up. We play a great 60 mins rarely, you juat never know.

Good first 40 mins, tank final 20...
Tank for 50 mins, start playing for 10...
Tank for 60 min, still win.

My favorite is when they play an amazing first 10 and after that lose their minds and tank for the last 50. Really puts you in check to not expect anything other than a potential 1st rd exit

Eat my hat

Advanced stats/analytics are to be taken with a grain of salt, they're not the be all and end all. Guys like Franson and Marincin have looked good according to advanced stats ffs

Gardiner is a decent player. But when he's given more minutes and responsibility he makes the type of fuck ups indicative of a player that's in over his head

i saw one fucker say fredrick gauthier say he is one of the greatest players and listed a bunch of bullshit stats.

fredrick fucking gauthier

and before i saw someone comparing gardiner to pietranglo stating gardiner is better because of stats. like seriously? if you want to go by stats and stats only, go watch fucking baseball
