At least they're giving you something. Preorders serve absolutely no purpose anymore except to give them a month's head start on projecting sales numbers. Not like the good old days where if you didn't preorder you'd have to wait 3 weeks after launch.

Simple solution is to put the people who buy that on a list for forced natural selection. Gotta have SOME level of common sense, lol.
$5 of in-game currency to preorder a game you already know you're gonna buy is perfectly reasonable. Better than a collectible figurine and fancy looking box.

City of slavelake burnt to ground. Everything. A few years ago.

Same is about to happen to Fort mcmurray.

Friends and family being evacuated as we speak. Townies from oil sites just outside of town sent home for evacuation. Some trailer park just went up in flames. And fire just crossed the main highway into town, so the worst is yet to come.

Fort McMurray is about 10x the size of Slave Lake. It won't all burn down. Though if the city is going to burn it my as well be now when there's less people there.

True. I just feel for the residents. Economic downturn hit Fort Mac worse than anywhere else in Canada...how many of those that are still there may have missed insurance payments? Or late payments.
