I feel sorry for the ducks

Even if they win a cup, 99.9% of their fan base won't care after a week... a week if they're lucky

Bolts/Ducks in the final would be a cup everyone would forget

Ya man. Hell, I'm embarrassed for them that their building is still so quiet. They're like the new 2011 nucks, they're a power house with a bunch of villains on their team, and nobody wants them to win.

Ortio making it fairly public that he's trying to take the flames starting job next year from Ramo and/or hiller. Love seeing the competitiveness.

Haha, ya he's a cocky guy. I remember he said the same thing mid-year. Anyway, I think Ramo gets moved this summer for sure.

Ramo is pending UFA right? So we don't get anything for him :(

Right, well maybe for his rights or something. If Ortio didn't get injured right before the deadline you gotta think Ramo might have been traded then. Who knows what would have happened after that this year lol.

99.9% would be harsh and I think it'd be cool because the Kings/Ducks rivalry would be more interesting with the two having won the Cup in back-to-back years.

The franchise is only 20 years old, about, and they're currently playing second fiddle to a huge Kings BW, so it's rough.

Half that bandwagon might jump if Anaheim wins the cup. Isn't Anaheim technically in LA? Like a suburb or something?

Different counties entirely, they're a fair distance apart.

I've argued this point before, and I'm curious what you guys think, but I think most of the reason for the Kings' success is due to three things:

I. They've won titles, obviously.

II. They're in a huge market

III. Their color scheme is very fashion friendly.

The third one is huge. I see people who support the Raiders and whatnot all the time because they have a cool logo and their colors go with basically everything. The Ducks on the other hand have that horrific orange color which people can't wear most of the time, which is why most women I see who like hockey like the Kings and people who don't give a shit don't have a problem buying a shirt or something.

I don't see this changing honestly. The Kings will be a good team and while I'm sure people will come out of nowhere for the Ducks it is LA's market for sure.
