The road test for us was never more then 4-5km usually, long enough to test cruise control, handling, brakes, and listen for road noise.

Most likely less. Might depend on which factory it came from and if it was a single truck delivery.

I would go over it good, make sure there's nothing substandard in terms of cosmetic. Some leases don't include certain cosmetic repairs after lease. It's been 6 years or more since I've done a PDI on a lease so it may be different now.

If you can take it for a spin it wouldn't hurt. Make sure there's no weird noises.

Nice thing with leases is they may end up taking the vehicle back, and its generally under mechanical warranty for the duration of the lease so they rarely skimp on the inspection, as it'll just mean it's gonna be back for a repair that they have to handle.

The simple and by far the most likely answer is they are busy and had lots more cars to get out so you were at the back of the line. If they got it off the truck (not from another dealer) then it has to be inventoried, PDI'ed, etc. If it's a busy dealership service wise (if it's not a big enough one with a dedicated sales mechanic), the PDI was probably done late Wednesday early Thursday at the earliest. By that time no reason to push it out that week because I take it you weren't pushing to get it early. Had you said lets move this as quick as possible you likely would have had it Thursday.

Damage is an unlikely reason as the small stuff that can be fixed without going to a body shop is really easy to fix, but if something had to be repainted you wouldn't be getting the car this soon. Next time you buy a car if you want it quick make a stink about it, then your salesperson will make a stink to get service and detailing to push it through quickly.

E: Also this is nitpicking but I really hope your dealer uses CarProof and not CarFax. CarFax is the colloquial term (but usually in the US...) but it's a horrible service in Canada. They're not very good with Canadian VINs. It's usually used car dealers who use it and that's a huge red flag to me. CarProof is the only Canadian vehicle history service you should use. End rant. Now I'll go back to logging out and not posting again.

just checked it out at the dealership and it still has all the protective tape/wraps on both exterior/interior

also mileage was 5 km

so yeah i would imagine either caedus is right about them just being busy, or they are just waiting for the 1st of the month to get their quota started

Just got an amulet in D3 that looks like deadmau5 and whenever I use a certain skill the enemies around me jump uncontrollably for 8 seconds. Guess in the end even the developers learned to not take this game seruously.
