when you say loan, i picture that you dont have 500 bucks sitting in your bank account
I do..but I have other stuff to pay for lol
I can't spent 800$ to rent a cabin on any given day
so is that clear enough?

500$ =/= 10k
The 500$ could be seen as something to help you out from the bank and low risk for them if you don't pay it. 10k for a cottage is a luxury loan that is not needed to live your everyday life. Since you had lates on your credit card recently no way would they loan you money for that, especially since they know you took a 500$ not long ago too. Honestly I wouldn't apply in 6 months. Wait to have more cash on the side. Are you looking to buy a car or house soon? The payments on the cottage can prevent you from getting another loan. Just my 2 cents ;)
I already have a car, 1 year left to pay
the 500$ didn't matter
it's really just my late payment 3 months ago
since then I paid nearly 2k on my credit card plus my car loan, insurance, vdieotron, etc etc
as she told me, we see you can pay your stuff but you were late not too long ago, just keep it up to date and you should be good to go
like if I would have paid my credit card that month instead of something else, I would have had the 10k loan even if it meant I was late on something else
