Regulation loss is a straight up loss. Like how the Canucks rekt the oilers last night, kinda loss. Otl loss is where u tied it up and had a chance to win it but choked and lost. Or was winning and choked and ended up losing

They need to make it like 3pts for a regulation win, 2pts for a overtime win, 1 pt for OTL, 0 pts for a regulation loss. Although it would still be the same results, flames ahead by 1pt but it would make more sense to you

I also prefer they increase the overtime longer, rather than have to solve the game through a shootout. Maybe start 4v4 for the first 5min then 3v3 for the last 5min, something like that. Far more exciting than shootouts imo. They're probably worried that off chance the overtime goes far too long.

Either way, it goes both ways lol. Flames clutched it more to force it overtime to lose, rather than gettin rekt straight up in regulation like the oilers & canucks
