yep, i think gomez can thrive in a situation where the team have no 1Cs so he's given the time to find his offense again

however, it's a boom or bust and it's only a 1 year so w/e pretty much, won't contend this year anyway

Gomez is a great player - look what he did on the Devils and Rangers. Just had a few bad seasons after that. I think he has the potential to make a BIG bounce back

No way they're counting on him to be a big producer. He's there for the veteran presence around the young guys. If he produces that's a plus.

i wonder how much he got lol. no team should pay more than 600 k for him

it's either matthias or gomez as 1C, i'm pretty sure he gets a chance
