Maybe Cervenka left a bad taste in my mouth but I'm not holding my breath thinking that Nakladal is going to be any good. There just isnt a good track record of players coming over from European leagues and being a difference maker in the NHL. That being said, on a 1 year, 2 way, 1 million dollar deal it's worth the risk. Absolutely nothing wrong with assembling a bunch of d-men and seeing who works out, especially when it costs us nothing (Beyond a contract and salary)

Soderberg isn't doing too bad, he's the only exception I can come up with, but you're right euros find the nhl difficult, likely because it's more of a checking game than a lot of Euro teams are used to. I'm basing that on what I hear as I don't watch any Euro hockey.

Honestly, it's such low risk anyways so if he busts whatever. Two way contract for a million dollars. Only a year. Worst case Ontario we just bury him in Stockton.
