Giguere's run where he won the Smythe was '03 and lockout was 04-05 but w.e
Brodeur '95
Roy '96
Hasek '99
Gigs '03
Ward '06
Quick '12
giguere, hasek and quick are the only ones coming close to thomas
roys '96 run wasn't even that impressive, it was sakic's run that year. vanbiesbrouck from '96 was impressive, but played behind the trap. there's a reason why brodeur never won the conn smythe and thats because he always had great teams infront of him
if you take a look at quicks '12 run and compare it to thomas, you'll quickly realize that quick played vs very defensive teams without any scoring power, also playing 5 less games. quicks #s are more impressive, but he didn't play vs flyers, canucks and tampa along with a rival habs that always step it up vs bruins. quick played vs cayotes, blues, and a crippled canucks team over 5 games
i don't say that quick was bad, but i don't think he was close to as good as thomas
quick faced nearly 300 less shots (849 for thomas iirc, 540 for quick) so that lower GAA and sv% is also a product of lower shots
