I think this happens a lot more often than we think. Which is funny because players in interviews, even after they retire, always say the players don't care and players can become leaders in the locker room without having a letter.

Yet apparently it's a big reason why Tarasenko isn't happy in STL.

And apparently it may have ruffled the feathers of both Matthews and Rielly in Toronto that they didn't get it.
