Defenseman Nikita Tryamkin returns to @IHCAvtomobilist after one full season with @Canucks in NHL.

Loosey probably has no idea who this is.

Mixed feelings about Tyramkin leaving.

Showed up overweight @ camp and refused to go to AHL for conditioning. Likely attitude problem that would need to be corrected if he returns.

On the other hand he showed flashes of exceptional physical play and offensive awareness. It it difficult to see a player with so much potential leave, even though he was unpolished.

Would like to see him back a couple years from now. I have no question he can play, but attitude combined with homesickness may mean he was never the right fit anyways.

That would've been true earlier in the season.
I can understand his frustration, and it seems like he was more homesick and the low ice time played a part of it.
He trained his ass off to get back into better shape, and got lucky with gudbranson's injury to play. He eventually became one of our solid defensemen throughout the season.
If you watched the games, you would agree he was literally one of our core D in our lolworthy D lineup.

His frustration seems to be more about the confusing msg willie gave to him, he would get 12min-20min. Seems like a lack of communication that wasn't addressed properly.
He didnt know why he only got 12minutes some nights, 16 other nights, when he proved he could play close to 20 minutes.
Also, with gudbranson back from injury, how will he know for sure he will get more ice time next year??

Sometimes rookies just don't get the minutes they deserve, it happens on every team with every coach at some time. That doesn't mean that they don't eventually get what they deserve.

He barely outplayed any of our bottom D-men anyway. He has a ton of potential but also made a ton of mistakes. And conditioning seemed like an issue throughout the season, at least to me, as he often looked completely gassed after his shifts.

Anyway, doesn't really matter. The family/personal stuff is probably the biggest factor. He wanted to go home, his wife probably wanted to go home, so he's going home.

Maybe if he gets the NHL itch back he can re-join the team. We have his rights until 2022.

maybe a year at the KHL will do him good, needs to figure out some things. his talent and size are undeniable and it'd be a waste to keep him in Vancouver/Utica while he's unhappy and alienated from everyone else.

I dont think he will return. At least not before 2022.
It seems like he really enjoyed Russia where most of his friends and family are, and can't adjust his life in NA.
Also, I think KHL would offer him more money too. So in personal point of view, he gets more money, stay close to his relatives, friends etc. and plays where he wants to play.

You see, that's the problem.
Hutton and Stetcher are also rookies, and they are allowed to make ton of mistakes and don't get benched for it.
Lets not get into sbisa either, he's a great 3rd pair but when he's playing top 4 we all know how that turned out.

To me, he definitely outplayed most of the canucks D core aside from top2 ofc.
From #3- AHL, tryamkin was just as good, if not better than those players.
There's a reason why he was featured in the provies few times, displaying his full beast mode, and ya he was also criticized for having a terrible game. But there was far more positive plays than negatives. While Hutton, Edler, Stetcher, Biega, Sbisa and co. had more negatives.

Tryamkin sees fellow rookies getting close to 20minutes NP, playing worse if not similar to him, while he rarely gets close to 20minutes. He proved that he can play close to 20minutes, in fact he played better when he has more minutes.
If he played like shit, and got 10minutes, he will understand WHY he got low ice time.
But if he played an awesome game, and got 14minutes, he's probably like why?????
If he saw sbisa give special delivery pizza assist to other team and still get 20minutes, and Hutton also struggling and still get 20minutes constantly etc.etc.
I think the nucks coach staff forced him too much to be something he isn't and wished he was. By shoving videos of pronger and chara to his face, and try to become a meanstreak. Something he clearly isn't.

A logical look at the situation. Just feels like there is is a greater pull for him to stay in Russia vs coming back to NA

yeah I wouldn't be surprised if he decides to stick around Russia, which would be a shame but understandable from his perspective.
