gets rid of gorges at 3.9, then brings in gonchar at 5? prob one of the worst moves in habs recent history, challenging the gomez for mcdonaugh deal.

Just wtf man! How can you compare the trade of Gomez to this?? We only gave Moen away since he was worthless and had no value. We get a dman who have a big cap hit but the contract is done this summer so it wont matter. This is to improve our PP and one of the philosophy of the team is that we never have enough dman. I guess the organisation was not comfortable with having Weaver/Tinordi/Beaulieu all year long and that we needed depth.

Saying that Bergevin is ruining the team because of that trade is one of the dumbest thing i ever read on this forum

9 for subban is a complete disgrace

5.75 for marky is a sad reality

4.1 and 4 years for emelin... meh. a lot for a guy who had only played 100 nhl games. wheres the bridge deal? its a lot more than subban was able to get at that point in his career (subban signed 2.75 bridge deal)

and 2.8 for who? gil what?

and now 5 for gonchar... yes its only 1 year, but im honestly scared to see what he will do next year if he pulled this shit this year.

and thats only our defence.

Subban contract is more about the new reality of the league. And what about Markov contract? He is 35 years old and will have 2 years left iirc so its just fine

if subban was doughty, then yes, the new reality of the league would be 9 mil. but he is subban, which should land him 6-7 mil.

markov has this year and 2 more. hes 35 and old and slow and deteriorating. hes getting worse offensively every year and most games leaving you thinking if he likes play offense over defence. plus 5.75 is too much.

you realize gonchar hasnt had more than 14 power play points since 10-11 right? he aint helping shit for our power play.
