Because he played behind defensive orientated teams. I understand the Flyers defense was horrible the last few years, but if you watch him on a game by game basis there is no way you can say he is a top 10 goalie with a straight face. It's not about blaming anyone or scapegoating. His play was just very below average. Lundqvist had a crappy defense last year and he still finds a way. Bryz isn't an elite goalie and if you want to say he was that's fine so was Patrick Roy at one point.

Slightly overpaid imo but I guess it's that era :\
Actually it's a decent signing - still better than Clarkson signing

why is clarkson brought up with all these resigns?
