larsen had most ice time, FIVE minutes of PP 0 SOG, constantly losing along the boards, didn't really lead any plays, he and tryamkin didn't have chemistry etc.etc.
subban pretty much started the play that resulted in a goal, made plays, heard he easily stoodout despite the nucks being heavily outshot by sharks etc.etc.

Result? Larsen gets more chance, cuz Benning brought him in the anchor the PP. He is most likely gifted Weber's spot. Even WD didn't think Larsen did what he's suppose to do, but is ok with it since it's his "1st" game.
Subban gets 1 preseason, youngstars and performed well, but gets cut right away jaja.
If Stetcher impresses more than Larsen and he gets cut too.. oh man
I wouldnt mind if Larsen actually makes the Roster if he outperforms em, but right now it's looking more like he's being gifted that D spot.
Not really about Larsen either, idk why Subban couldn't stick around a lil more even if he gets cut in the end

IMO it's way too difficult to analyze the subtleties of the game over radio, especially when you're relying on the announcer's competence to tell it right. I wouldn't put too much stock into that.

Subban looked good against kids in the prospect tourney but he wasn't a monster. He's still not ready to go up against NHL forwards at his size and low level of experience.

Also, guys like Larsen will win the tie because of waiver status.

Stecher probably won't make the cut for the same reasons. He is Benning's "boy" just as much as Larsen. Stecher and Subban will have to battle in Utica for first call-up rights. If Subban outplays him but doesn't get called up then you can claim conspiracy.
