thats more then most gms land... players of that caliber are hardly ever traded and i have zero problems with what we gave up if pronger didnt get taken out by concussion he woulda made it more then well worth it..even what we had was worth it
he also made one hell of an offer at weber when he was an rfa to the point nashville prob almost didnt match it its not like he didnt try to add those elite caliber players he tried harder then most gms seem to
he made a lot of block buster deals too prob more then any other gm in the last 5 years ...guy wasnt a scared little pussy gm he made moves when they needed to be done


homer thrived on trades it was free agency that he wasnt the best with...hextall is the opposite seems like a good FA guy but horrible trader
which sucks becasue right now we need a trader gm thats not scared to pull the trigger on deals ... but not get shafted every trade like that hartsy for umburger one

very rarely did he trade for big names at deadline

if he just sits on what we got next season were really fucked cap wise contract wise and we cant bring up the young guys ready for the jump and then from there it just starts going to shit
he needs to pull the trigger on deals or the flyers are going to get worse and worse and thats on him hes got the cards to play but if he folds flyers are beyond screwed

giroux is lock at #1 c couts is seemingly becoming our #2 c thats leaves 3 and 4 which are usually depth guys
you think b schenn wants to play 3c? he sucks at wing as does vinny then on top of that we got laughton whos ready and on top of that we got a center in the ahl putting up pretty decent #S
thats just guys that could be the 2-3 c we got like 2 or 3 other guys that could fill bottom 6 center roles like white bellmare ect ect

whether he wants to or not trades gotta get done you cant have a team with this many centers and defense continue as is it doesnt work and its not working lol

So you trade during the offseason and during the draft unless you're unloading UFAs at the deadline.

we could move them in the offseason but i think right now is the time to make a move theres no way in hell we can go past the deadline with 9 d under contract we dont have the cap space for that
and what are we going to waive them? there on 1 ways they would prob get claimed for nothing...id rather trade them now and get something

he can wait to trade the centers in the off season but there has to be a defenseman moved pre deadline or we get screwed
