how do you guys feel about zibby being moved down to the AHL?

i really hope this isn't just a money thing...

I would be really suprised if it was a money thing.

Truth is we had too many forwards who were " NHL or waived " and it came down to one of Pageau, Conacher or Zibanejad would get sent down. Conacher had 4 goals in 4 games and looked incredible on the 2nd line, Pageau was the Sens best player in every game he played and Zibanejad played alright but didn't really stand out. The other option would have been to waive Da Costa and keep Zibanejad, but Da Costa also had a great pre season and it wouldn't have been a good asset management to just waive a player like him. I personally think we'll trade either Da Costa or Smith, and then we'll call up Zibanejad.

It's also a great opportunity for Zibanejad to be the #1 center in Bingo and work on his offensive game a little bit. The guy has all the tool he sometime lack creativity a little bit. Looking forward to seeing Zibanejad and Stone dominate the AHL.

didnt zibanejad play all last season in nhl though? personally i like the move, dude has a fucking annoying face

Yep he did, but last year we had a bunch of injuries. Zibanejad is definately the first call up though, so it shouldn't be too long before we see him again in the NHL.
