Nobody is ahead of Markov aside from Subban and maybe Emelin. He can move down the lineup if he slows down even more next year and the following. He's a big part of the leadership atm also, need to wait until Patches or Subban step up.

It's looking likely we won't be able to give all our guys NHL experience so I assume two of Nygren/Pateryn/Tinordi will be gone by the end of the season. Shame because Nygren and Pateryn have good potential to be higher end versions of what we have now. Nygren could be a better Gilbert and Pateryn could be a better Weaver. Can't really afford to give 4 rookies experience though.

markov is like 35 guys , he might retire in what 2-3 years.. i suggest to keep him till he retires because of is intelligence and defensive skills.

emelin really turned me off last year. and if he wasnt having a mediocre enough season, he was just dreadful in that rangers series and at times throughout playoffs.

hes just so slow and gives up more odd man rushes than markov believe it or not.

i honestly think defense is our weak spot this year. losing gorges will really teach this organization that you cant have 6 offensive dmen. ok 5 weaver is not offensive one bit.

and for the tok trade talks, u guys were saying ud take a 3rd rounder for him? what the fk... are u serious? i wouldnt trade him for anything less then a first.

fkin keep budajs small cap hit for a year if anything and viola. u still have a top end prospect goalie.

He worth nothing more than a 3rd, we got him for desjardin and he played 5 game in playoff

the dude is good though. clearly better then the 9 year nhl veteran in budaj who was boasted being one of the better back ups in the league.

If we keep him he won't play and his value will only goes down
