I like lupul but he's injured so often, if we got a 2nd round pick plus prospect I'd be happy.

You would be lucky to get a 3rd for him. Not only does he have three more years on that ridiculous contract, he gets paid almost $7M next year in salary. No GM would want to pay that much for a 2nd-3rd liner who can't complete 75% of a season.

I feel like if they were gonna do it, they'd remove him before deadline deals though

What I don't understand is that Shanahan came in as presdient, 1st thing he does is fire the assistants to Nonis and assistant coaches and assigns them new work partners for both of them. Expects them to do good after? Don't get why he did that

Burmistrov is being dangled as bait, LeBrun thinks leafs are interested in giving Winnik to winnipeg for him. Seems odd that leafs would trade for a guy who left for the KHL because he didn't want to play for a losing team... maybe Komarov would help persuade him to play in the NHL?

I'd say Lupul is a borderline first liner when he's healthy. The problem is he never is and why would anyone want to pay for a guy who makes first line money to sit at home recuperating.
