Calgary is one of the few teams out there who realize just how useless Bourque is.

1st doesn't seem outrageous 'cause it'll probably be a bottom-4 pick.

Coburn still has a year left on his contract and a UFA D-man of his calibre is probably worth a 2nd.

MTL says Emelin out at least a week and then re-evaluated. Won't be surprised if it's 4-6 weeks but he's a tough nut, may be less.

In any case, Emelin will be be back well before playoffs so I don't imagine MTL will feel any undue pressure to fill that spot via trade.

That said, MTL was looking for a D BEFORE Emelin injury so I would think that is still the case. But it's not just a reaction to Emelin inj.

Bourque would just be a cap-dump for a team who has an internal cap.

2nd + B- prospect seems fair if Anaheim wants to add a cap-dump.

But the cap dump has a cost! A second for Glencross is a given I think, to take salary back, even if needed, costs extra I'm sure.
