Markstrom has always played well in other leagues and been shit in the NHL. Don't get your hopes up.
It isn't a one-time thing. Signing Miller was a slap in the face to Lack. Trading Lack is a slap in the face to Demko.
Find me a goalie right now who's gonna be anywhere as good as those three and signable right this second.
No, read my whole post. I'm talking about the last 3 years, not the last 3 months. Miller never should have been signed in the first place. If you honestly think the mentality that your team isn't behind you won't affect a player's performance, go watch cricket or something. It's a mishandling.
I wouldn't be surprised if Markstrom fails but, if he is eased in properly this time, he might have a chance. We'll see.
Of course it was a slap in the face for Lack but he didn't exactly flourish as the starter last year and they wanted someone better (rumor is the players asked for another goalie, too). Miller was great last year except for like a 10 game stretch with the Blues.
And if you wanted a stop-gap goalie, Niemi in the off-season. Halak and Hiller last summer.
I think I'm retarded 'cause I still don't really understand what you're getting at / what your issue is with the goalie situation lol.
