If "the deal" he has in mind is 6-8 years at $6 million per year it ain't happening. Don't mean that as an insult, it's actually a compliment, you don't need him in your top 6 at that price.
Well. Lucic never said it himself. But you just said yourself that he spoke to lucic. Then came out and said this after. Hmmmm.
And with the mcdavid and PC factor. I'm sure he won't be signing for an obscene amount. A 2 year @ 5-6 mill would be nice. But like you said, I'm sure he wants term. Lucic is still only 28yo, giving him term isn't bad. Aslong as it is cap friendly. And this obviously means ebs is gone. And we also have 10+mill in space as is.
I think we'll be fine. Lucic would compliment mcdavid nicely.
