funny becasue the traded/signed players are arguably our  best players right now
the problem is were not getting those really good  guys via trades  by trading picks and letting them go in a few years
instead were actually drafting and its hurt the depth of our team in the short term whiel buffing it up  long term ... homer made good trades but its not enough we need better wingers for the top 6  and stop trying to fill the wings with  one of the 20 fuckin centers we have

I think Lavi's system was more the issue which has now been addressed.

I feel like the biggest mistake holmgren has done was trading richards.

simmonds hasnt put up the points but i like his play more then richards tbh and schenn is still only 22 still has lots of time to develop into something pretty solid too
and now that we got vinny for a 2C i dont have that "if we woulda kept richards we would have a 2c we need " feeling deep down becasue of the hole trading them left in the depth charts
shit and we united the a pair of canadian brothers how sick is that thats prob a discount to resign them both too lol

true but richards is a stud, he's what a 55-65 points per year guy, that plays very well in all 3 zones, takes the body and wins faceoff. No doubt brayden schenn has good potential but richards is a great player in his own right. It just seems like the flyers have been a on huge downside since him and carter left.

gagne putting up like 40-50 still and pronger definately helped to that also briere not sucking major ass hell even had leino with that crazy year
think we even had lupul in there some time too giroux had a year or 2 on the 3rd line before they got traded
vs hartnel read voracek simmonds schenn couts ect ect there good but they dont compare to what carter and richards had for support

thisll prob get a fire goin im really expecting a trade coming up haha
i really dont want him to get fired tho hes made good moves like briere had to go and had a horrible contract yes
but iirc it was a FA signing vs a bunch of other teams pre cap era bryz was prob schneider or how ever its spelt is saying like sign him at all costs idgaf
and hes made some sick trades not many gms can pull off the trades hes done or would even have the balls to try lol

so what u guys think the lines will be under berube? or what would you like to see?

they were like harts-g-voracek
read-vinny-simmer
talbot-couts-schenn
-hall-naldo-rosehill

timo-streit
coburn-schenn
mezzy-grossman

id like to see something like
couts-g-voracek
read-vinny-simmer
harts-schenn-talbot
timo+schenn... they looked pretty good last season
coburn+streit just seem like they would be a good balanced pair
mezzy-grossman

couts might seem weird #! lw but hes got the speed and size and has shown flashes of play where he looked like a top 6 forward skillwise too i say give him the chance instead of schenn for once see what he can do
hes definately not a liability defensivly either he intercepts a lot of breakout passes which with giroux and voraceks skil land speed could be very deadly in a counter rush
