I agree that signing Miller was stupid, but now that it's been done, you gotta work with it.
Right now with the situation they put themselves in, one of Miller, lack, or markstrom should be traded.
Cant the mentality be that your team is behind you so much that they're willing to trade a different goalie? Or can you only look at it the way you are.
These are professional athletes. If they can't handle the possibility of trades, then they aren't cut out for it.
You can screw a goalie's confidence. Look at Bobrovsky. They signed Bryz in a very similar fashion after trading several goalies and he suddenly played like crap. Like I said, again, if you'd read my post, Demko probably feels great about it right now. But it's not a good standard to set.

Trading Miller would be BM. You don't sign free agents and trade them in the first year... unless you want to scare away potential UFA in the future.
Like Philly did with Carter and Richards iirc, sign them to extensions then trade them.
Doesn't trading away every prospective goalie in your pool while signing hot topic free agents also scare away people you draft?

It's early in their development and they know they've been drafted by a team that has traded the last few people like them. That affects their future value and potential.
