Sure, but you've got to admit trading for an injured player who won't play hockey for another 5 months probably, and is about to be cut open for surgery is pretty risky. There's a reason injured players are almost never traded, for example his broken hand and foot was only made known after the trade. Maybe his shoulder is more serious than the Sabres knew? Just sayin.
If it's more serious the trade is cancelled because winnipeg didn't negotiate in good faith. Like I said, Tim Murray is no amateur. Unless the doctors botch the surgery I'm sure he's considered that.
