People who watch the KHL say Larsen's been maybe a top-5 D-man in the KHL this season. He's the best D-man on the 3rd best team in the league.

I know people are upset we gave up a conditional 5th instead of a 7th but it could be a decent gamble. If it turns into a 4th it probably means he's playing well for us.

Tryamkin and Rodin should also be coming over this summer. We'll be seeing a bunch of new faces at camp.

Based on the market, Hamhuis should be worth at least a 1st and a 2nd round pick, or equivalent prospects. Vrbata could fetch a 2nd or 3rd.

Pokka is definitely someone Benning will target because we already know he's looking for 20-22YO D-men. His value right now is probably similar to Chicago's late 1st.

Nick Schmaltz would also be an interesting target as he's Boeser's linemate in college. His value is also about a 1st.


A simple deal could be something like Hamhuis for Pokka + 2nd.

A more intricate deal could be something like Hamhuis + Vrbata for Pokka, Schmaltz, Bickell and a 3rd. In this case, Chicago would be paying us Schmaltz (minus the 2nd round pick) to take Bickell off their hands.
