waiver work with years/games played and it's different for goalies because it counts europe/ahl/nhl games so tokarski played more then 80 ahl games for sure, he lost his waiver exemption a long time ago
two way/one way contract doesn't change anything

You need to stop listening to the nhl games. 1 way and 2 way contracts have nothing to do with waiver eligibility. It has to do with with how much they will be paid if they are in the nhl or ahl. A one way contract the guy gets paid the same regardless but a 2 way he could earn 750k in the nhl and only 200k in the ahl
