Conditional is most likely if he decides to play or not. He's over 35 so his cap of 5m goes towards the islanders regardless of whether he is playing or not which puts them above the cap floor. Also, unless he plays they don't have to pay him a dime and he still counts towards the cap.

Yep. Condition is that he plays one game. So Thomas could be a dick and play a single game then retire to go out in a blaze of asshole if he wants.

they were already over the cap floor. what this allows them to do is sell of guys like streit and vis at the trade dealine
