yup they put the shit on nhl.com now like 1h tops before the game what a joke
"players decide not to play" yet friedman even tweeted " players told to be ready for cancelation" so we know its the league lol

i really doubt they want to pause games and extend their life in the bubble any longer then needed

its the players. few players tweeted at friedman stating its the players choice

cancelling games in the name of BLM means they support burning down buildings and looting

NHLPA just got knocked down even more notches from where they stood before. It's their doing. And will reflect poorly moving forward in the future.

Shutting down the sports franchises over police shooting a man who was resisting arrest for a warrant of domestic violence, sexual assault and criminal trespassing shows just how ridiculous society has become.

Wasn't NBA talking about resuming play?

"exact same situation" dude get real lol. how many videos do you see cops tackling people whatever their colour. some get a lot of attention because the person they tackle is sitting/not moving/hands behind his back etc and the officers just use full force. and even these videos dont get as much attention

from what i remember in the video, they didnt use full force here to just tackle this guy...

just saying that situation couldve been handled a lot better than how it took place...

He had a knife in his car, which is probably why the cop lit him up.He also had an active warrant for domestic violence and sexual abuse so you can put the pieces together as to why he thought it was best to not comply with orders and still try to flee with kids in his car while cops had guns pointed at him.

It's just dumb the reaction to these events is proportional to the virality of the stories rather than what actually happened. Just yesterday some retards broke shit up in Minneapolis because an homicide suspect committing suicide was portrayed as him being shot by cops in social media. And now some LARPer is being portrayed as a 2nd amendment hero protecting himself from leftist terrorists when he traveled from out of state to cosplay as a heavily armed vigilante. People need to take a deep breath and let the facts come out first.

It's amazing how small minded people can be. This isn't about this one isolated incident. It's about the perpetual targeting and killing of black men by police

One in a thousand black teens/men will be killed by a police officer in their lifetime. Let that sink in.

And still nothing has changed.

Open your minds. Look at the bigger picture. It's big brain time.

That's kinda why knee-jerk symbolism by sports leagues is stupid. It's not a problem that can get fixed by drafting a law called "no more police brutality" or "no more racism". It comes down to the very essence of America and what drives its society. People looking back at these protests down the road will feel stupid because it only rose awareness about a problem that everyone knows exists and gets beaten to death in most forms of media. As it is, the boycotts only take away safe spaces from people already feeling overwhelmed by political messaging making its way into every facet of their lives.

But having a safe space is a distraction, and if you want a distraction then you are racist. These athletes and sjws know what is best for us. Maybe we should let them run our countries. And life would be peachy perfect.

But it draws attention and that's what's needed. Look around you. Everyone is talking about this, even the predominately white fans of hockey .

Literally everyone

There should never be a safe place to escape racial issues.

That's what we've been doing for the past 5 decades.

And look where we are.

Just because people are talking about it does not mean there is meaningful discussion. Majority of people have had enough. But anyone who speaks opposing the current narrative or pointing out facts gets slammed as a racist bigot.
