Dude its totally ridiculous. This whole thing has been a joke.
There were soooo many better ways to proceed than what they came up with that would be much more fair to every team that doesnt count as a big market money machine. Its so evident. Even as an original 6 team the wings have been constantly fucked by the league during this rebuild because we're not a big market like the Rangers, Bruins, Leafs, Habs, and Hawks. Its sad really.

I agree. The way this was set up was primarily done for financial reasons.

So many big market teams that have no business being in the playoffs now get a chance to participate.

The layout of the draft has blown up in their face as well. It just looks so bush league right now with the way things are playing out.

Assuming these teams lose, I definitely see it going to chi, Pitt, or toronto just because that's how this shit goes.


It is absolutely ridiculous that so many teams that really don't need the help have a shot at #1 overall.

The whole thing was screwed up when the didn’t use a +4/-4 of the 16 team cutoff format.

Nothing makes sense about anything in the format the nhl has chosen.

I assume you mean we gave up our golden 1st overall egg laying hen, not comparing Hall to Lafreneire.
