It makes no sense , he was there best player hands down. He’s now probably your top offensive player now and he’s not a ufa. He’s also on a very sweet deal cap wise. Never mind trading all that to a divisional rival.

I don’t think the central is weak , before the deadline id have said Winnipeg / Nashville was stronger than Calgary / sjs. Now the pacific has 3 tough teams and Calgary is probably the 3rd ranked. Nashville imo is now the favorite in the west. imo the west is stronger than the east and even more so after the deadline. outside of Tampa I don’t see a team in the east ahead of Vegas , Nash , sjs , Winnipeg. Not sure why Calgary didn’t make a push for howard, Goaltending is their only potential weakness.
