yea lol. thats a slash against a skater lol, and clean against a goalie

I was watching TSN or Sportsnet last night and that was literally the explanation the war room gave. It's a slashing penalty, not a goaltender interference penalty, therefore a good goal because the slash was missed on the ice. Mental gymnastics to get that conclusion holy fuc

these NHL goalies don't train to slide out of their crease on their own way out of position when trying to go post to post
u can clearly see debrusk and spooner being the cause to further push allen away from his crease.

Yup, there are two Bruins in the crease and closer to the net than Allen yet somehow it wasnt the two Bruins that caused him to be outside his crease. Just brutal. NHL joke league

debrusk's right skate hits pietrangelo's left skate and buckles his ankle, causing him to go down

as he slides into allen, allen slides from his right knee to the left and both player's momentum push allen out of the crease

since debrusk legitimately falls from contact, into allen I can see why the refs felt it wasn't interference

also allen is quite out of position and has no idea where the puck is after the initial shot

being as he is no where near the puck or his net, there was very little chance he could make a save

I honestly don't know how I would call it, just felt like throwing another perspective on it.

i can see all that being sort of believable except the debrusk part. im not saying it should be a penalty, but nothing pietrangelo did caused debrusk to take allen out.

thats incidental contact, no goal, and the faceoff should be at center.

just because you skate into someone whos in front of you doesnt give you fair game to take the goalie out.

100% interference

I couldn't believe they called that 2nd goal Las Vegas scored yesterday against the Jets a goal... can break a stick over the goalies mask and score after, no problem

Seeing one of these almost every night now

goalie's body language and reaction tells the story

he didn't even feel it was interference

ref agrees with goalie because he allowed the goal

I trust them

Bring back old school rules. If anyone's in the crease it don't count. Add that if you're in the crease you're fair game for a Hextall axe chop. Ambiguity problem solved

so now were encouraging players to bitch and moan like soccer players and primadonna wrs? we encourage flopping and crying to refs? maybe allen thought his own player knocked him out of the crease orignally, but his postgame interview tells otherwise of what he thought.

i think youre speculating and grasping at straws instead of looking at the actual evidence.
