Will have to reevaluate at the end of the year.
This season seems to have something happening where so many players are putting up ppg seasons.
Las Vegas is in first place with a team full of second liners.
Anders Lee is in the rocket race...

Something is up this year.

Need to see what that's all about so we can accurately judge who's who.

I disagree with this thought process. There are plenty of players around the league that have put up big numbers prior that are not having as big of seasons at the moment. Yes, there are teams in the playoff hunt that are surprising, but just like any team sport it is not about one player. Anders Lee for example also gets to play with some great players that create offensive every game.

Offense is up this season, but basically to summarize all of this...Sean Couturier is a different player. I never thought I would see it. Took over 6 years for his offensive capabilities to shine. If anyone here has watched more than 5 Flyers games you would know that he is a completely different player all on his own.

more teams have just found line combos with chemistry there isnt many "solo" guys up there except like wheeler and gaudreau most have 1-2 line mates right there with them so you figure each goal is like 1-3 pts per line
and idk vegas surprises people because there an expansion team but they have a pretty deep team and guys given opportunity to get more ice time and play expanded roles that they might not have got on their old team
doesnt mean they couldnt fill the roles they just might not have been that high on the depth chart yet

but even then gaudreau is kind of solo but monohan is almost a ppg hes just like 30th in pts becasue there is so many full lines putting up points

plus to start the season i feel like goaltending and reffing was terribad that likely bumped up the offense a bit too shit goaltending with bunch of extra pps
