i checked up the rumor and

CBCSPORTS.COM: LeBrun and Scott Morrison also discussed Savard's situation during the second intermission "Hotstove" segment on Saturday's Hockey Night in Canada telecast. LeBrun noted Savard's family lives outside Toronto which would add more fuel to the rumors the Maple Leafs will try to sign him next summer. Morrison suggested talks weren't progressing between Savard and the Bruins and Savard could shut them down until July. Morrison also suggested Savard could get $6.5 million per season on a new contract...He also noted several KHL teams are interested in signing Peter Forsberg but he's still hoping to land with an NHL team.
idk if ican post link so i wont

still a rumor ofc

but who knows :P

Habs better pick up Peter...

That game was so deflating for Toronto, a game can change the world.

habs lost 5 games in a row but were still able to win 3 games after that..
one game doesn't change anything
except in series

I disagree.

It was the first game of the season, first time they all played together, and they all worked sort of as a unit... gave their best offensive performance but were killed by bad goaltending... it was an emotionally crushing game.

Winning that game would have given them confidence that even though their goalie is bad they can save themselves.

yes..they would have been confident after that win..

it could explain why they lose....next 2-3 games but not all those games..
they should have started from 0..and win a game
its not like that game destroyed leaf's hope of making the playoff or w/e

Why?

The goaltending was even more suspect in the following games and they literally just gave up on themselves.

That win could have been huge for them, key word is could have, now all we know is they look like a group of disappointed, beatdown kids.
