depends
it could be like he resigns with the team or not
or if they go to a certain playoff round (usually deadline deals see these)
they give normally picks based on the terms they agreed upon for what ever happens after the trade

like 7th if he doesnt resign but if he does they get a 5th instead

That's conditional picks. Future considerations means Ottawa doesn't want him and St. Louis didn't want to pay for him, so they're basically just saying "we'll trade him to you and you give us brownie points"
