Pretty much.
He has stretches where he seems very capable (like right now, he's been good for the last 4 games) but then he'll go like 10 where he's pretty bad. He is an NHL D-man but will never be anything more than a depth guy because the lack of IQ.
Still young though.
It often takes d-men longer to develop hockey iq. The position is far more complex overall vs a forward position.
But for the most part I have to agree. He is never going to be the guy you trust on the PK or vs 1st line players so he has a career as a bottom pairing d-man most likely.
