“Those mistakes are the difference between the playoffs and no playoffs,” Hansen started.
“It’s obviously not a single occurrence. It’s happened numerous times. We just never learn from it.”
“It’s poor decision making,” Hansen continued. “Very simple.
“It’s realizing where the puck is, who has the puck and where the puck is going to go.
“Sometimes, it looks like we don’t care.”
“It’s the same mistakes. A line change in Pittsburgh cost us a game too. Line changes in overtime cost us a game four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten times.”
“It cost us last year. We took, I think, 20 too many men penalties. That’s line changes, too.
“It’s obviously not something that’s a rare occurrence. It happens to us fairly often.
“That’s why we’re in this situation more often than not.”
