really? ... thought he wanted to retire as a flyer why go be a rental at this point he might not even be any good missing camp+ pretty much the full season
if he is good though n flyers keep him we might have a chance to make the playoffs lol

The East is basically already decided unless something miraculous happens. Florida the only one with a real chance at breaking in.

flyers are 9points out of the wild card thats 4wins and an ot/so loss
you really think thats impossible to make up?flyers just had 4 wins in a row+ a sol
still 30 games to go 5 games can be made up quite easily

It's not as simple as getting 9 points, obviously you need to get 9 MORE points than Boston which is very hard to do. For example, when the Rangers just had a 13-3 period we gained something like 3 points on Washington and 5 on the Islanders. In today's NHL it's not easy to catch teams ahead of you, especially with how far back you are.

It's more the fact you have to jump like 5 teams in the process.

I'm not sure what the exact numbers are cuz I'm too lazy to look, but I bet the flyers chance of making the playoffs is 5% or worse.

No one really talks about it but the East is over. The discrepancy is huge this year for some reason. Easy to write it off as McDavid effect but some of these teams aren't trying to tank
