1 game was fair. while i don't agree that it was an intentional hit to the head based on the way gryz positioned his body, i do understand that it caused an injury and the hit -did- contact his head, so i think 1 game is fair

its debatably fair. punishments by the nhl for similar hits need to happen whether a player is hurt or not though.

i'm just seein it from the NHL's perspective. you know they hold hits in a higher regard when there's an injury, whether it's the right call or not. so since ol boy is gonna be out for a game or two, they have to make it "fair", despite the hit that Blais took that was quite similar.

you know how the NHL operates, until things are fair (which they likely won't be for quite some time, because it "slows the game down too much"), we have to see the fairness through the unfairness.

i guess. i shouldnt be surprised, they dont actually care about player safety, they just want people to think they do. theyll never get rid of hits like that like they want unless they punish all hits equally regardless of injury.

but you know that if they were to be able to catch the hits that don't cause injury but had -intent- would require reviews, and they don't want hockey to be seen at a baseball pace. it's just not going to happen. i'll settle in the middle with a discrepancy between injury hits and non-injury hits, so long as -every- single scoring play is reviewable.

game winner or otherwise, toronto's war room should have a say in every scoring play and should be able to ring the buzzer at whatever time they see fit. we'll address the injuries vs non injuries at some point.

i dont mean during the game. if the bruins defender didnt get hurt, sunqvist wouldve never had a hearing. and that stuff happens all the time.

I bet vlasic is a fun person to be around with all the complaining he does. He's probably still sour from the lack of an apology he didn't get from league earlier in the playoffs. Irony in its finest really tho with how their playoffs turned out.

The Blues were able to knock out a few of the Sharks players and that really won them the series. Games 5 and 6 were really tough to watch.
They knocked out one of the Bruins puck moving defensemen which helps them a lot since they need a slow game. It also looked like they went at Rask 2-3 times in game 2.

Do you guys think they will continue to try winning with their fists since they seem to be overmatched on the ice? And will the Bruins at least hit Binnington once?

Hoping for 7 !
