Timonen is the backbone to that defense. He means as much to them as Giroux does. I would have liked to see it a bit lower (still might be) but meh. Having him back is important

meh, as long as its 1 year, 6mil is fine. Its overpaid, but whatever...

6m isnt bad.. i figured we woulda got him for like 5 but 6 is still good compared to a lto of contracts out there

The biggest thing is Giroux's contract is still good next year. It's the year after where his cap hit is going to go way up. 1 year deal allows for this.

so cheap, but i'd rather see ellerby play consistently. his ceiling is probably 2nd pair d-man. he plays a good solid game but there's too many young good d-men on panthers and ellerby never really took the chance when it was given to him

panthers have like: strachan, gudbranson, kulikov, campbell, jovo, kuba, weaver for now

then in a few years petrovic and robak and later than that also matheson and bengtsson


rather see kings improve than many other teams
